Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini

Are you having second thoughts of getting a huge phone? Or are you thinking of getting yourself a new smartphone? Well, Samsung has finally heard your prayers. Bringing to us the new Samsung Galaxy S3 MINI.

Yes, you read it right. It is the MINI version of one of the highly popular smartphones in the market, the Samsung Galaxy S3. In terms of looks, it is the exact replica of its brother only compact and can easily be held with ease for those of you who have small hands just like me. This is the perfect smartphone to own.

Don't worry. The S3 Mini has the ideal size for a phone. In terms of screen dimension, it doesn't have a small screen like that of the Samsung Galaxy Ace. It owns a screen much like the one from Samsung Galaxy S2 only a tiny bit smaller in screen but it owns a slightly bigger casing from that of the S2.

In terms of specs, of course, being a smaller phone Samsung has to cut off some features to differentiate it from its brother, the S3. Be that as it may, the phone is still a remarkable phone.

Just for comparison sake, here are some images of the S3 beside the new S3 Mini. Currently, the S3 Mini is available in both Pebble Blue and Marble White.

On the otherhand, GSMArena can give you a side to side comparison of the S3 Mini versus the most sought out Android phone from last year, the Samsung Galaxy S2, just to give you an idea of the specs and what to expect from this highly anticipated phone. Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini VS Samsung Galaxy S2
As you can see, S2 has the upperhand in terms of processor's speed, having a Super Amoled Plus display with Cornilla Glass and a 8MP camera as compared to S3 Mini's Super Amoled display with only a 5MP camera.
But, we still cannot overlook the fact that the S3 Mini is being powered by latest Android technology, Android 4.1 Jellybean plus, it gives you that brand new look for a phone. Although, for S2 owners, this isn't the end of the line. Samsung already confirmed that S2 will be receiving the 4.1 Jellybean update by the end of November or beginning December. So, hang in there. It's just a couple of nights away and you can experience the new Jellybean OS.
I'm not so sure if this is a good move from Samsung being the fact that S4 is expected to release by February next year but, it still feels good to have that freedom with so many options laid out for you.
After all that is said and done the final question arises, when will the S3 Mini becomes available? According to Samsung, the phone will hit the market by November 2012 but, since December is almost around the corner, we could expect the phone to close the end of the year or it could be opening up a new year if the smartphone won't be hitting your shores by the end of December.
As for the price, the phone is expected to be around $500. So, which is it gonna be? The S3 or the S3 Mini? Whatever it is, Android is definitely getting hotter and hotter as time passes. That being said, this only means that we can expect far more greater things from its developers in the future.
